What clients can expect

Understanding your concerns and working towards change

The clinician’s role is to understand the pattern, explain it clearly and help translate treatment into daily decisions.

Precision

An understanding of your situation

Treatment starts with why this pattern is happening for this person, rather than assuming one universal burnout pathway.

Collaboration

Clear explanations and shared decisions

Goals, uncertainties, methods and recommendations are discussed rather than delivered as unexplained advice.

Application

Change that reaches daily life

Sessions connect clinical work to sleep, workload, relationships, boundaries and real professional situations.

Service identity

What SaskBurnout is—and is not

Clear scope helps clients decide whether the service matches what they are seeking.

01

It is psychotherapy

The work addresses symptoms, functioning, behaviour, emotion, cognition and relational patterns.

02

It is not executive coaching

Professional context matters, but the service is clinical rather than performance consulting.

03

It is not a one-score program

Assessment considers overlap, safety and alternative explanations.

04

It is not crisis care

Urgent or emergency needs require immediate local services rather than routine intake review.

STG Health model

How the service is organized

SaskBurnout is part of STG Health Services Inc., which offers services focused on different mental health concerns.

Focused

Services focused on particular concerns

Pages and treatment pathways are organized around the client’s clinical question rather than a generic clinic directory.

Integrated

Referral when another need is primary

If another STG service or external provider is better suited to your needs, we will explain why and discuss a referral.

Accessible

Secure remote delivery

Video care supports access across Saskatchewan while maintaining ordinary clinical privacy and documentation standards.

Clinical relationship

What good treatment should feel like

You can expect thoughtful clinical care, clear explanations and practical support.

Clear

You understand the treatment plan

The clinician explains what appears to be maintaining the problem and what remains uncertain.

Respectful

Your role is understood in context

Treatment does not reduce complex occupational realities to simplistic self-care advice.

Accountable

Progress is reviewed

We review changes in your symptoms and daily life, discuss what is getting in the way and adjust the plan together.

About the service

Questions about fit and delivery

Who provides the service?

SaskBurnout is provided through STG Health Services Inc. and led by Dr. Chris de Feijter.

Is care available outside Saskatchewan?

The service is designed for clients located in Saskatchewan at the time of care, subject to clinical and regulatory requirements.

Is this only for executives or physicians?

No. Profession-specific pages help with relevance, but the core service is available to adults whose occupational strain fits the program scope.

What if burnout is not the main issue?

The assessment may recommend another service, medical review or a different treatment focus when that is more appropriate.

Getting started

Specialized care should still feel straightforward.

The secure intake helps us understand your needs and whether our service can help. We review any immediate concerns and recommend a next step. Submitting the form does not commit you to treatment.
